My passion and energy are driven by making a difference in people's lives.  In business, I am often called Mom by the people I serve.  You know, that mom that lifts you up when you need it, tells you the hard truth when you don't want to hear it, and is always by your side through thick and thin?  People drive a company's success, and I help businesses recruit, position, and develop people to be at their best.

My years as a leader in human resources and business operations have taught me the secret to finding and developing the right people, and building a culture of success is an art.  Yes, skill and experience are a must, but true performance and business value require alignment between the company and a person's core passions and values.  It requires excellent chemistry with their leadership and team members in a culture supported by sound human resource practices.  I facilitate this by helping people discover what drives them and clearly see and align their roles to these drivers.  I then ensure their position is clear and focus them on clear performance expectations.  In addition, I help business leaders with recruitment and develop and implement human resource capabilities that serve as the "people" foundation of the business.

The results?  Creativity, productivity, and commitment soar giving businesses a competitive advantage and the wherewithal to seize new opportunities and overcome market challenges.  How do I know this?  I've been a part of making this happen and seen it work.  Research backs me up.  Companies that invest and focus on their people outperform business-only-driven companies by growing more consistently while enjoying low turnover, rewarding cultures, and high employee and customer satisfaction.  The payoff for me?  I experience the joy of making a difference in people's lives and watching businesses thrive.

I have worked as an administrator, operator, and VP of Human Resources in several successful and highly respected professional services and consulting firms.  Most recently, I worked at Health by Design, a medical business providing primary care services to large, self-insured employers.  Health by Design is consistently voted a "Best Place to Work" in San Antonio, Tx.  I have a Bachelor of Arts degree with a concentration in management from Our Lady of the Lake University and hold human resource credentials from HRCI and SHRM.

My heart is devoted to God and country, being raised by loving parents whose parents immigrated from Germany and Italy.  My mom and role model taught me to put others first and was taught the value of hard work and treating people fairly.  I am a native of San Antonio, married to my husband Gordon of 50 years, enjoying two grown children and our grandson Jack.

I'm always open to good conversation and love getting to know people; it's what life's all about!
